Abiotic Oxygen on Venus-Like Exoplanets Around M-Dwarfs
Abstract
We model the photochemistry of Venus-like atmospheres around different stellar types. We find that the FUV/NUV ratio of late-M dwarfs such as TRAPPIST-1 can abiotically produce several percent O2 in the upper atmospheres of Venus-like planets.
