Can short exposure to polyethylene microplastics change tadpoles' behavior? A study conducted with neotropical tadpole species belonging to order anura (Physalaemus cuvieri)
Abstract
Polyethylene microplastic (PE MPs) accumulates in tadpole. PE MPs induces locomotor changes. Tadpole exposed to PE MPs exhibit anxiety-like behaviors. PE MPs induces anti-predatory defensive response deficit in P. cuvieri.
