Search for Possible Simultaneous Observations of ASIM TLEs and TGFs with Goddard Robotic Telescope Wide Field (GRT-WF)
Abstract
Goddard Robotic Telescope Wide Field (GRT-WF) located on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus in Fort Myers, FL was constructed in 2011 and is still operational to automatically observe Transient Luminous Events (TLEs) in the optical region. Seven cameras, with the field of view ~40 x 60 deg each, are set to point along azimuth directions to cover most of the visible sky. We have observed hundreds of TLEs in the Florida, Gulf of Mexico, and Bahamas areas. We compare these TLEs with the TLEs & TGFs detected by ASIM in terms of times and locations to search for the possible simultaneous observations as well as associations, if any. We discuss the preliminary results of our analysis.
