SEDOBS: A tool to create simulated galaxy observations
Abstract
SEDOBS is a python software designed to produce large samples of simulated galaxy observations. It allows for the creation of several types of mock observation such as photometry, spectroscopy, multi-spectroscopy and full spectro-photometric combinations. It has been primarily created to test galaxy template fitting method against any configuration of data. It has been designed to be user-friendly to manipulate. SEDOBS is an open source software and it is published under the GNU general public license (v3). It is distributed from a github repository with an extensive documentation and can be installed from the python official repository (pip).
