VizieR Online Data Catalog: The ELQS in SDSS footprint. II. North Gal. Cap (Schindler+, 2018)
Abstract
The 88 North Galactic Cap sample of the Extremely Luminous Quasar Survey (ELQS-N) primary candidates were observed with the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope (VATT) and the MMT 6.5m Telescope. The spectra have a resolution of R~1000 and a coverage of ~4000Å around a central wavelength of ~5775Å. The observations for the ELQS were conducted in multiple campaigns. Pilot observations started in 2015 April 21-25, with continuing observations in October 8-12. The program continued through 2016 March 10-15, April 10-13, November 19-23, and December 18-20. In 2017 we finished the North Galactic Cap footprint with observations on April 3-6, April 17-19, and May 3-5.
We have used the MMT Red Channel Spectrograph to carry out followup observations of our newly discovered quasars. Observations were taken in 2015 on May 9, November 8-9 and 11, and December 1 as well as in 2017 on May 17-18; with R~300-400. (2 data files).- Publication:
