Label-free pathogen detection by a deoxyribozyme cascade with visual signal readout
Abstract
A three-stage colorimetric test for the naked-eye detection of Zika virus. Isothermal amplification combined with a label-free split deoxyribozyme probe. Differentiation of Zika virus from closely related dengue and West Nile viruses. Total test time of 2 h without expensive instrumentation. Detects clinically relevant concentrations of viral RNA.
