Study on the Correlation between Hydration Heat and Electrical Resistivity of the Cement Pastes with Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer
Abstract
Resistivity development curves and hydration heat curves of the cement pastes with the superplasticizer dosages of 0, 0.1%, 0.3% and 0.5% were tested. It is found that the resistivity of the cement pastes decreases and the peak time of hydration exothermic rate was delayed with the increase of superplasticizer dosage. The relationship between the resistivity and the total amount of hydration heat was established. By measuring the resistivity, the total amount of hydration exothermic heat of the cement pastes can be effectively predicted based on the correlation.
