Overexploitation hazards and salinization risks in crucial declining aquifers, chemo-isotopic approaches
Abstract
Bastam region is overusing its groundwater resources stocks. Overexploitation hazard has destructive effects on the groundwater regime. Chemo-isotopic characteristics indicate intrusion of saline water resulted from halite dissolution. Decreasing the exploitation is an effective way to mitigate the risks of salinization. Recommended to apply the comprehensive methods developed to other crucial aquifers.
