Simulation of the joint operation of the space system SODA and the ground-based telescope GWAC to detect dangerous asteroids of decameter size
Abstract
Meteoroids of decameter sizes are considerably dangerous and they should be included in the coming programs of massive detection of potentially hazardous bodies. The project of space system SODA is design for exhaustive detection of decameter bodies coming from the Sun direction. The GWAC ground-based multi-aperture telescope of SVOM mission has potential to search for objects on the night sky. We present the results of simulation of visibility zone of the SODA and GWAC projects and shows that the simultaneous operation provides detection of decameter asteroids flying from any direction, at least a few hours before a possible collision with the Earth.
