Planetary Evolution Driven by Atmospheric Escape: Sub-Neptune to Super-Earth Transition over a Range of Stellar Types
Close-in planets appear to evolve over time due to atmospheric loss. We explore how Sub-Neptune planets transition towards Super-Earths around different stars to gain a global understanding on planetary evolution in general. We find that the evolution can be simply described by the conservation of energy.
