D/H mapping on Mars with SOFIA at autumn equinox
Abstract
This abstract presents preliminary results of a new observing campaign performed with the EXES imaging spectrometer aboard the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). Data were recorded near autumn equinox (October 2018, Ls = 272°). The disk-integrated value of D/H is 4.1 times the terrestrial value (VSMOW), in agreement with previous values obtained with EXES for different seasons. We see no evidence for seasonal variations for the global D/H value on Mars.
