Absolute gravimetry and gradiometry with portable cold atom interferometers
Abstract
Using a compact atomic gravimeter, we conducted gravity surveys in the Berkeley Hills, and attempted tunnel detection on the University of California Berkeley campus. A sensitivity of 37 μGal/√Hz and a long term stability of 2 μGal were achieved. We also describe our project to build a drone-based atomic gravity gradiometer for airborne autonomous gravity surveys.
