A possible draft of the CGPM Resolution for the revised SI, compared with the CCU last draft of the 9th SI Brochure
Abstract
This paper drafts a suggestion for the text of Resolution concerning the revised SI that has to be approved by CGPM in 2018, and compares its rational with the one spelled out in the CCU 2016b Draft of the 9th SI Brochure, in the light of the original intention of the revision proposal (to use only constants of physics in the SI definition) and of four basic principles that a modern system of units should follow: to be constant in time and space; to be organised in a rational system; to be easy to realise with high precision; to be accessible to everybody.
