Is it time to take vertical indoor farming seriously?
Abstract
Vertical indoor production of vegetables may contribute to better nutrition. There is an urgent need for economic assessments of vertical indoor farming. Vertical indoor farming would help reducing water usage in agriculture. Unsubstantiated rejection of vertical indoor farming is harmful to nutrition. Vegetable production in controlled environments reduces climate change risks.
