Two Aphid Species, Phorodon cannabis and Rhopalosiphum rufiabdominale, Identified as Potential Pests on Industrial Hemp, Cannabis sativa L., in the US Midwest
Abstract
Core Ideas Two aphid species, Phorodon cannabis and Rhopalosiphum rufiabdominale, were identified as potential pests on industrial hemp, Cannabis sativa L., in the US Midwest. Samples of aphids were obtained from field-grown industrial hemp, hydroponic production, and suction traps in the US Midwest. Morphological and molecular data were used to discriminate Phorodon cannabis from P. humuli.
