Particle injections observed by Arase satellite in the inner magnetosphere
Abstract
Arase satellite has measured a number of sudden flux enhancement of ions and electrons in the inner magnetosphere. These flux enhancements are considered to be associated with the particle injections, and mostly observed at dusk side in case of ions, whereas those of electrons are located at night-side to noon through dawn side. Most of these injection signatures have energy-time dispersions in flux. They also have pitch angle - time dispersions, especially for ions. We assume that the dispersions are apppeared due to energy, and pitch angle dependent drift motion of plasma particles around L-shells. Then we estimate location of injections by using the dispersion signatures. We will discuss on location of injections related to geomagnetic activities including auroral activities observed by ground-based imagers and particle species in the inner magnetosphere.
