Communicating Climate Change in Obama's White House
Abstract
As President Obama's chief science advisor and the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy from January 2009 until January 2017, I oversaw and took part in a number of innovative efforts to inform the public and state and local officials about the risks of climate change, the options for corrective action, and the roles of government, the private sector, civil society, and individuals in meeting the challenge. This presentation will discuss these efforts and offer some thoughts about the path forward.
