Mexican Automatic Landslide Inventory Based on Web Information
Abstract
The mass remove process (PRM) constitute one of the geological hazards that affect most of the population, particularly during atypical rainfall or large earthquakes The landslide inventory map constitute the main income for the design of instruments that will allow to mitigate the negative impact of these phenomenon. The inventory map is the cartographic document showing the temporal, and spatial distribution on unstable hillside bodies in a determined geographic area. Allows the zoning of the susceptibility, exposed objects identification, vulnerability assessment, and risk calculation by PRM. The inventory maps traditionally are result of the interpretation of geoforms associated to the hillside instability from remote perception images and elevation digital models; these process implies a large conception of time, man hours , and economical resources with a low possibility of updating. In counterpart in the last years technical tools has been developed such as RRS feed, web crawler, data bases, gis: these allow us to automate the search and process of information on the web, using these we can build a real time and online inventory map. In these work we are presenting our advances to create a multiscale and multitemporal inventory map from online data mining
