The method of formation Q compensation based on wavelet frequency division technology
Abstract
The method of formation Q value extraction based on wavelet frequency division technology is mainly for the different target layer. It is the combination of wavelet frequency division technology and spectral ratio method, which firstly uses the wavelet frequency division technology to obtain the seismic data of the frequency interval of target layer, then uses the spectral ratio method in wavelet domain to calculate formation Q value based on this seismic data. This method improves the stability of the formation Q value extraction. Based on this, we aims at the shallow, middle and deep layer, using the method of formation Q value extraction based on wavelet frequency division technology to extract Q value and finally compensate for amplitude and phase using the Q value. Model calculation and example analysis show that the method can effectively compensate the seismic data of different target layers, which makes the reflection waveform consistent, the main frequency improved , the frequency band broadened, thus improving the quality of seismic data.
It is worth noting that this method needs to extract Q value, so it is necessary to denoise the seismic data before the application of the Q value extraction. The compensation effect is better.- Publication:
