Dust properties of LIRGs and ULIRGs from the AKARI Deep Field-South
Abstract
%[Ultra] Luminous InfraRed Galaxies (LIRGs and ULIRGs) have very high star formation rate among star forming galaxies. Using the infrared (IR) data from the AKARI Deep Field-South selected at 90 μm enriched with the data from other instruments, including the Herschel satellite, we model Spectral Energy Distributions (SEDs) of these galaxies. We apply the CMCIRSED model and the FUV-to-FIR models included in the CIGALE to estimate stellar mass, dust mass and dust temperatures in [U]LIRGs. We found 22 LIRGs and 17 ULIRGs which comprises to ∼ 25% of our sample. We conclude that the majority of ULIRGs harbours Type 2 AGN, whereas LIRGs can have both AGN types.
