LgrbWorldModel: Longduration GammaRay Burst World Model
Abstract
LgrbWorldModel is written in Fortran 90 and attempts to model the population distribution of the Longduration class of GammaRay Bursts (LGRBs) as detected by the NASA's nowdefunct Burst And Transient Source Experiment (BATSE) onboard the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory (CGRO). It is assumed that the population distribution of LGRBs is well fit by a multivariate lognormal distribution. The bestfit parameters of the distribution are then found by maximizing the likelihood of the observed data by BATSE detectors via a native builtin Adaptive MetropolisHastings MarkovChain Monte Carlo (AMHMCMC) Sampler.
