Vapor treatment as a new method for photocurrent enhancement of UV photodetectors based on ZnO nanorods
Abstract
A new and simple glycerol/ethylene glycole vapor treatment was applied to enhance the photocurrent, photosensitivity and photocurrent gain of ZnO nanorods metal-semiconductor-metal ultraviolet photodetectors. Splitting of thicker ZnO nanorods into the thinner ones by glycerol/ethylene glycol vapor treatment. effect of glycerol and ethylene glycol vapor treatment on the morphology, optical and electrical properties of as-prepared ZnO nanorods has been investigated. Mechanism of photocurrent enhancement of UV photodetectors based on vapor treated ZnO nanorods was explained.
