A Second-Epoch Observation of the LLAGN and ULXs in NGC4565
Abstract
We request a 60~ks observation of the nearby edge-on spiral galaxyNGC~4565. Earlier short chandra{} and xmm{} observations have revealedthat NGC~4565 hosts a low luminosity AGN with $L_X(0.5-10kev) sim4 imes10^{39}{\rm~ergs~s^{-1}}$ and seven off-nuclear brightX- ray sources with $L_X(0.5-10kev)$ in the range of $0.2-2.5imes 10^{39}{\rm~ergs~s^{-1}}$ including two ULXs with $L_X >10^{39}{\rm~erg~s^{-1}}$. The primary purpose of our observation is toperform a detailed spectral and variability study of the extreme LLAGNand ULXs.
