The morphological features seen in cometary comas and tails are determined by the level of activity of the comet, its composition, heliocentric distance, gas-dust ratio and the interplanetary environment where the comet moves. The use of digital filters to enhance cometary images allows us to determine the presence of subtle morphological details in these objects that can not be detected initially. In this way the use of digital filters allow to reach a greater understanding of the level of activity and the accuracy in the determination of some physical parameters of the comet is improved. In this paper we present the results of the application of some digital filters to comets images acquired at the Complejo Astronómico El Leoncito.
