X-ray observations of 2MIG isolated AGNs with XMM Newton
Abstract
The isolated galaxies with active nuclei are unique objects that give us an opportunity to reveal internal properties responsible for its nuclear activity. The sample of 61 2MIG isolated AGNs was obtained through cross-matching of catalog of isolated galaxies (2MIG; Karachentseva et al., 2010) with the Veron et al. (2010) catalog of AGN and quasars. Our study (Pulatova et al. 2015, 2009) of their spectral and morphological properties has shown that more than half of the 2MIG isolated AGNs are Sy2 type and the Sy1 type isolated AGNs are connected with the presence of bar features in their host. Preliminary estimation of the SMBH masses for 27 isolated 2MIG AGNs shows that they are systematically lower than those residing in the denser environment as expected. We study X-ray spectral properties of the isolated AGNs using XMM Newton observations (0.2-10 keV). Publicly available spectra were obtained for PN or MOS1 camera. We found that in most cases the isolated AGNs are faint X-ray sources. The observations with XMM Newton were made for 10 2MIG isolated AGNs from 2001. We obtained 0.2-10 keV spectra for 5 of them, namely CGCG179-005, NGC5231, UGC10120, ESO097-013, NGC6300. For other objects, strong X-ray emissions were not detected or data were contaminated by solar flares. Except ESO097-013 (Circinus galaxy), other four galaxy's spectra show simple shape and can be fitted with power low and black body emission combined with absorption of neutral hydrogen. The strong Fe emission lines are present in 2-10 keV XMM spectra of Circinus galaxy in 2001 and then again in 2013 which shows that its spectral shape has changed. X-ray spectral properties of nearby Circinus galaxies have been studied since the 1990s and discussed in many works (Matt et al. 1996, 1999, Guainazzi et al. 1999, Shirey, R. E. 2001). Some estimations for studied AGNs were also supplemented with the Chandra and Suzaku data. We will summarise all results concerning these objects as well as nature of X-ray emission in the frame of influence of environment.
