First results on the ionosphere monitoring with use of the Roshydromet radio tomography network.
Abstract
The experience of the radio-tomography network development for research and monitoring the ionosphere is considered in this paper. At the present time on the Russia territory with use of a Roshydromet infrastructure are deployed two radio tomography chains of the low orbital radio tomography and a first segment of the high orbital radio tomography. The results of verification of the obtained data are presented as well as the examples of the reconstruction of the 2D and 3D ionosphere structures. For the collection, transmission, storage and dissemination of data, obtained with use of the radio tomography network the special hardware and software have been developed. Initial data collected by the global navigation satellite system’s receivers as well as the radio tomography reconstruction results are stored in the data base on a server of the Fedorov Institute of Applied Geophysics, Moscow, Russia. After the completion of the network deployment and verification of the obtained results the data of the ionosphere monitoring will be available to different users.
