Estimation of the Efficiency of Stand-Off Detection of Traces of Explosives by the Method of Active Formation of Spectral Images Using a Tunable Co2 Laser
A method of active formation of spectral images promising for stand-off detection of explosives is considered. The capabilities of the method in the IR range with the use of a tunable CO2 laser and a thermal imaging receiver are estimated. It is suggested to estimate the efficiency of detection of substances based on their spectral features and difference between the spectra of substances and substrate materials. Results of calculations are presented.
