The Birth of a New Monsoon
Abstract
Climate change simulations show that as warming continues in the future the surface temperature contrast between the Arctic Ocean and the surrounding continents becomes quite large during the northern autumn and winter. This result is robust across models. Implications for Arctic amplification are discussed.
