Dark Matter Search with CALET
Abstract
The CALorimetric Electron Telescope, CALET, is a high-energy astroparticle physics mission to be installed on the International Space Station in 2014. Its main instrument, CALET-CAL, will take a whole sky survey of the electrons and gamma-rays in the energy range from 10 GeV to more than 10 TeV with an energy resolution of 1- 3 %. Since electron spectral and gamma-ray line signatures are expected in the sub-TeV to TeV region, due to annihilation or decay of dark matter particles, the CALET-CAL is sensitive to both these signatures. In this paper, we present the expected performance of CALET-CAL for a dark matter search.
