The relationship between geographical curriculum writing on new standard with geography teacher education direction in Normal Universities
Abstract
Middle school geography curriculum standards emphasize on cultivating students' practical ability and sense of exploration. As a result, when compiling textbook, we emphasize on students' learning geography through exploratory activities. Currently, according to the geographical curriculum writing standard, sets of geography textbooks have been published, which have been reviewed and approved by the Chines National Ministry of Education National School Textbook Examination Committee and approved to be tested trial in the experimental area. From the overall design situation of these new materials, we know that they can reflect the basic reform idea of the national basic education curriculum and exploration is prominent very much. Since part of the new textbook writers are implementers and secondary school geography teachers trained in Geography Education in Normal Universities, and there are natural connection between high school geography education and geography teacher education in Normal Universities, so the exploration in the new curriculum secondary school geography textbooks writing would inevitably lead to further concept changes of Geography Education Teachers.
