A meta-epidemic model with steady state demographics and migrations saturation
Abstract
A two-patch system in which a diseased population can freely migrate is presented and analysed. A specific feature here consists in the modelling of the possible saturation of the paths connecting the two environments. Equilibria are analysed, showing that only the disease-free and coexistence with endemic disease in both patches are possible. Bistability can occur for suitable parameter choices.
