Thermoelectric characteristics of SiGe nanowire arrays as a function of Ge concentration
Abstract
The Seebeck coefficient and thermal conductivity of arrays of relaxed SiGe NWs on Si substrates are measured via a comparative technique. The measurements show that the SiGe containing NWs exhibit higher Seebeck coefficient than the bulk material. The longer SiGe NW array gives a higher Seebeck coefficient. It is observed that the thermal conductance decreases with increasing Ge concentration and NW length.
