Observation of spin glass-like behavior in fine particles of Nd2PdSi3
Abstract
We have investigated the magnetic behavior of ball-milled fine particles of an anomalous magnetic compound Nd2PdSi3 through magnetization and heat capacity measurements. It was observed that the magnetic ordering is broadened and transition temperature is marginally reduced in the fine particles. Our results reveal that, with the decrease in particle size, spin glass-like behavior is observed in this compound.
