Giant Hall resistivity at low magnetic fields in nanocrystalline Ni50Mn32Sn18 Heusler alloy
Abstract
Nanocrystalline Ni50Mn32Sn18 Heusler alloy exhibits a giant Hall resistivity ρH ∼55 μΩ cm with the Hall angle ∼14° in a paramagnetic martensite → ferromagnetic austenite transition near 152 K at low magnetic fields such as 0.8 T. Results are described in terms of a percolation network formed by nanogranules in the transition and concomitant magnetization change that promotes the anomalous Hall effect.
