Discoveries of new black hole transients MAXI J1659-152 and MAXI J1543-564
Abstract
MAXI, Monitor of All-sky X-ray Image, is one of the JEM Exposed Facility payloads on the ISS [1]. MAXI has detected a number of transient objects since the beginning of the observation, August 2009. Here, we briefly summarize MAXI discoveries and observational properties of the new black hole candidates MAXI J1659-152 and MAXI J1543-564, and follow-up observations of MAXI J1659-152 by Suzaku.
