A study of candidates to polar-ring galaxies by the methods of 2D spectroscopy
Abstract
We present new 2D-spectral data for some candidates to the polar-ring galaxies. The observations of these objects were carried out on the Russian 6-m telescope. The circumnuclear regions were observed with an MPFS integral-field spectrograph, the large-scale velocity fields of the ionized gas were constructed from observations with a Fabry-Perot scanning interferometer. We have constructed intensity maps and velocity fields for both ionizing gas and stars. The results of the study of the complex multicomponent structure of objects are presented.
