August 2011 was a record month for the IMO Video Meteor Network with more than 53000 meteors in over 7300 hours of effective observing time by 62 cameras. Seven new cameras joined the Network this month. Low activity of the kappa-Cygnids was detected with a maximum activity at sol = 141 deg. The Perseids were detected between solar longitude = 111 deg and 153 deg with a peak at solar longitude = 140 deg. Daily fluctuations in the calculated flux were apparent. The influence of zenith exponent on calculated flux was explored and gamma = 1.6 seemed to produce the lowest level of daily variation.
