Comparison of Dynamical Downscaling in Central Europe Using RegCM and CLWRF

Within locally funded project the implementation of very high resolution downscaling technique has started. In addition to main effort of parameterization development for ALARO-Climate by CHMI tests of nonhydrostatic CLWRF version are prepared to assess the possible effects of non-hydrostatic processes for regional climate downscaling. Based on previous experience and results of RegCM in high resolution of 10km in Central Europe domain the comparison of CLWRF performance is presented. Preliminary results of a few tests of parameterization settings for short period of reanalysis driven runs will be shown.
