XMM-Newton observations of low-frequency radio transients discovered with LOFAR
Abstract
We propose 30-ksec XMM-Newton observations of radio transients which are first discovered during our radio-sky monitoring program with the Low Frequency Array (LOFAR) which is currently being finalized in the Netherlands. Our proposed observations aim to conclusively detect enigmatic radio transients at X-ray energies for the first time or will else put very stringent upper limits on their X-ray emission. The high-energy properties of these systems will be very important to elucidate their nature.
