Unitarity Triangle without Semileptonic Decays
Abstract
The use of semileptonic decays has become standard in constraining the unitarity triangle. Since precise calculations of these are very challenging, we propose an entirely new approach. The ɛK constraint, which depends extremely sensitively on |Vcb|, is replaced by the interplay between ɛK, BR(B→τν), and ΔMBs. Improvements on the B→τν branching ratio and on the lattice determinations of fBsB^s1/2 and fB can increase the effectiveness of this method significantly.
