A Long Suzaku Observation Of The Seyfert Galaxy NGC3783
Abstract
We present preliminary results from a recent 200ks observation of the Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC3783 by the Suzaku observatory. The X-ray spectrum is complex, showing signs of strong absorption by photoionized circumnuclear plasma as well as signatures of reprocessing by the accretion disk. We also present a comparison of the absorption seen by Suzaku with that seen in the long (900ks) Chandra grating spectrum taken in 2001.
