New routes to solitons in quasi-one-dimensional conductors
Abstract
Microscopic solitons play a determining role in electronic processes of quasi-1D conductors. We identify them by comparing optics of the ferroelectric charge ordered state in quasi-1D organic conductors (insulating and metallic) versus conjugated polymers by tunneling in CDWs.
