Supernova 2007E in NGC 921
Abstract
Further to IAUC 8792, N. Joubert and W. Li report the LOSS discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered KAIT images taken on Jan. 10.17 (at mag 15.9) and 12.13 UT (mag 16.0). SN 2007E is located at R.A. = 2h26m34s.41, Decl. = -15 50'36".5 (equinox 2000.0), which is 15".7 east and 14".2 north of the center of NGC 921. A KAIT image taken on 2006 Dec. 7.16 showed nothing at this position (limiting mag 18.2).
