An iterative method is proposed for solving the problems on cosmic ray propagation in the heliosphere. The method rests on the smallness of the degree of cosmic ray anisotropy. As a zeroth approximation we use the cosmic ray density which satisfies the equality of the cosmic ray flux in the heliosphere to zero. The subsequent iterations are based on the equation of cosmic ray propagation written in the canonic form. The cosmic ray density derived by the iterative method was found to differ almost not all from exact analytical solutions. The solution of the boundary-value problem on cosmic ray propagation was also obtained in another form for the stationary symmetrical case.
