Detection of Type I X-ray burst from IGR J17254-3257
Abstract
A type I X-ray burst from IGR J17254-3257 (1RXS J172525.5-325717) has been found in archival data from INTEGRAL. The burst occurred on Feb 17, 2004 at 19:44:00 (UTC) and was detected by the JEM-X X-ray monitor. The burst had a rise time <5s and an e-folding decay time of 15 sec. The burst reached a peak flux of 0.8 Crab in the JEM-X energy band 3-30 keV. The derived position RA=17h25m27s DEC=-32d57'50', with an error radius of 1' is consistent with the position of the ROSAT source 1RXS J172525.5-325717, which is identified as a candidate counterpart for IGR J17254-3257.
