Studying the interstellar and circumstellar media at the Galactic Center
Abstract
We present the most recent ISAAC and NACO observations, obtained at the VLT, of the central parsec of our Galaxy. The observations allowed us to derive the first L-band datacube of the region and to discover three new young Wolf-Rayet stars in the vicinity of the central super massive black hole. The number of such stars seems to be underestimated. The distribution of water ices and hydrocarbons in the region reveals a correlation between the dense dusty and diffuse ionised medium suggesting that the ISM is a mixture (possibly clumpy) between these two media.
