Magnetic Rotating Solutions in Gauss-Bonnet Gravity and the Counterterm Method
Abstract
We present a static magnetic solution in Einstein-Maxwell-Gauss-Bonnet gravity without a cosmological constant. This solution yields an asymptotically AdS-5-dimensional spacetime with a longitudinal magnetic field generated by a static magnetic brane. We also generalize this solution to the case of a spinning magnetic brane with two rotation parameters and find that the spinning magnetic brane has a net electric charge proportional to the magnitude of rotation parameters. We also find that these solutions present naked singularities. Finally, we use the counterterm method in the Gauss-Bonnet gravity and compute the conserved quantities of these spacetimes.
