The Atlas Pixel Detector

The ATLAS silicon Pixel Detector will be the innermost tracking device of the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and will contribute significantly to the ATLAS track and vertex reconstruction. The position of the Pixel Detector near the interaction point requires excellent radiation hardness that has been demonstrated in extensive studies, including beam test measurements during and after irradiation up to Φ = 2.2 × 10¹⁵ protons cm^-2.
