Calorimeter Algorithms for DØ
Abstract
The Run II discovery potential of the DØ experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron relies in large part on the optimization of the calorimeter performance. Here, we review the algorithms used in DØ, starting with an unbiased optimization of the signal to noise ratio in the calorimeter, and continuing with jet, electron and photon identification and reconstruction. The measurement of the missing transverse energy is also described.
