Magnetoplasmons and cyclotron resonance in a two-dimensional electron gas
Abstract
The dispersion of magnetoplasmons in a quasi-two-dimensional gas is derived for any value of the filling factor between 1 and 6, including nonparabolicity effects and temperature effects. The dynamical conductivity of such a system, in the frame of the magnetoplasmon picture is calculated as a function of the in-plane wave vector. It is shown that the interpretation of cyclotron resonance experiments in the magnetoplasmon picture differs significantly from that using the one-electron picture.
